    Job Description for Operations Manager

    This job is a hectic role that involves handling all aspects of production and operations and reporting directly to the CEO of the company. A prior experience in the printing industry is a must. The candidate must be a real go-getter that does not settle for no as an answer or an excuse. You need to live by the motto “If it has to be done, it needs to get done”.

    People management will play a huge part in this role since a majority of the people presently working in the company have been around for 15+ years. You need to learn to handle them and get them to co-operate instead of fighting them.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Define and create new processes that will help bring in more control into the operations in the company.
    • There are currently 3 primary departments in the company – Prepress, Press and Post Press. The Operations manager is expected to be aware of what is going on in each of these departments.
    • Scheduling of jobs to ideally use the limited capacity and to ensure timely delivery of jobs.
    • Create a new system of maintaining reports across departments such that the management is kept informed of the throughput in the company.
    • Maintaining a clean workplace
